Previous Conditions

• Existing pond floor conditions
• Flow was restricted by brush and overgrowth
• Capacity was inadequate for Park Center
  Development
• Water leaving the pond was not being treated to
  standards

During Construction

• Removal of brush
• Venture Ct is in the distance

• Rock Excavation
• Large amounts of rock were blasted to make the
  pond deeper
• Blooms Quarry was not far from here

• Pipe Installation
• New larger pipes were installed
• New manholes and riser were installed

Completion of Construction

• February 2008
• Dam has been completed to a higher elevation
• Fence is being installed
• Grass is starting to take hold

One Month Later

• March 2008
• Grass is showing excellent growth
• Starting to see natural flow of ground water
• It is not uncommon to have to reseed the pond
  bottom in the first year

• Grass is growing very well
• Some reseeding will be done by contractor in
  sparse areas
• Note how much deeper the facility is than before
  construction

• Some new residents have set up housekeeping in
  the pond
• Again, it is not unusual for the pond bottom to
  take longer to establish
• A grass seed mix with grasses that can stand
  being wet can be seeded in the wet areas now that
  we know what the water seepage pattern is like.
