8Exploration
The Orion Property was staked by Teuton in the
mid-1990s after retreating icefields exposed a
long, narrow nunatak of highly altered rocks. New
work by the BC Department of Mines in recent
years has shown that remnants of Eskay Rift rocks
are located within the Frankmackie Icefield
region, making the area highly prospective for
the discovery of Eskay-type deposits. In
addition, recent, outstanding gold-copper and
gold-moly drilling results by Seabridge Gold and
Silver Standard at their Sulphurets properties to
the north, have also underscored local potential
for large, bulk tonnage porphyry type deposits.

10Eskay Rift
Eskay Creek
BOWSER
- The Orion property is situated within the Late
Jurassic Eskay Creek Rift characterized by
occurrences of basaltic lava and pillow lava
flows typical of rift settings. This narrow belt
contains scores of mineral deposits including
the most famous producing mines of the Stewart
region - Eskay Creek
- Granduc
- Premier
- Hidden Creek (Anyox)
- As well as basalt flows, the Orion Property
features very well developed flow banded
rhyolites, similar to the rhyolites associated
with the very rich Eskay Creek deposit.

11Geology Stratigraphy
Mitchell
Snowfield
Sulphurets
The Orion Property is located ca. 45 km NNE of
Stewart, BC. The area is underlain by suites of
volcanic and associated sedimentary rocks of the
Stuhini and Hazelton Groups. The layered rocks
are intruded by several plugs of granitoid to
dioritic rocks of Mesozoic and Cenozoic age. The
area hosts several broad zones of sericite-clay
alteration which are accompanied by bulk tonnage
Au-Cu mineralization zones.

12The Orion property has had only minor exploration
to date. The long, north-south elongate nunatak
in the NE portion of the property displays
repetitions of stratigraphic horizons the felsic
units of the Mt. Dilworth Formation (usually
characterized by strong gossans rich in pyrite
and other sulfides and which locally host Au-As
mineralization) are overlain by fine carbon-rich
sediments of the Salmon River Formation (Foto)
and underlain by andesitic volcanogenic
rocks. The property includes several other
claims underlain partly by Eskay-type
lithologies basalts, flow banded rhyolites,
breccias and associated fine-grained sediments.
13Exploration History

of flow-banded rhyolite and felsic volcanic
breccias accompanied by strong silicification,
chlorite-sericite alteration and local
pyritization were observed. Several anomalous
samples taken. - 2007 The Cat-in-the-Hat showing was tested by 5
drill holes, with the best intersection returning
2.88 g/t gold over 3.0 metres - 2008 The Kerr-Sulphurets-Mitchell and Snowfield
Properties of Seabridge Gold and Silver Standard
become Canadas largest gold deposit, with total
resources of 37.5 million oz. of gold
142007 Drilling Highlights
Drilling in 2007 at the Cat-in-the-Hat Zone
intersected many arsenic-gold anomalous zones,
including one section that returned 2.88 g/t gold
and 6176 ppm arsenic over 3.0 metres. Drilling
also intersected brecciated rhyolitic rocks near
the surface that are mineralized with fracture
controlled pyrite containing minor arsenopyrite
