Why are you here?

• To be nice. I needed the salary credit.
• To hear my diatribe regarding a few things I
  learned in my coordinator daysand how they can
  be relevant and good for you and your kids.
• To learn how technology can help you as a teacher
  and improve student engagement.
• Put it all together and be given the TIME to
  implement it in a unit and/or lesson.

Our Agenda

• I have it printed on Peers. Probably wont stick
  to it.
• Roughly First, well talk a little theory.
• Next The remainder of today will be TIME to
  learn the technology we have. (I will try to
  work 1-1 or 2-1 on whatever you want to learn and
  will advise to the best of my ability!)

• Lets begin together and debriefWhat did you
  like? What is still fuzzy? What did you learn?
  How do you think you will integrate what you
  learned yesterday into your unit?
• The rest of the day will be TIME to integrate day
  1 ideas into a unit and/or lesson of your
  choosing. I will be around to help and advise
  (ta he he) as you wish!

The Really Important Stuff

• We are going to have a working lunch so that we
  can get out a 2. Susan will get us lunch today
  and well figure out tomorrow.
• All the trail mix and chocolate you can muster.
• And so much fun you can hardly stand it.

• Ok, so did you subconsciously figure out that
  using power point is one way to present your
  lessons?
• Advantage The ability for animation, slide
  designs, fairly universal, easy to use
• Disadvantage Cannot use smartboard pens to
  write on it and save. You must use the pen
  features within power point.

• Both SmartNotebook and PowerPoint allow you to
  create lessons on slide.
• You can import images and make links on both.
• SmartNotebook has a gallery that PowerPoint does
  not.
• PowerPoint has many game templates available
  on-line (i.e. Jeopardy.)
