- Use to make Altiris Client for DOS (BootWorks)
boot files - BootWorks runs in DOS to execute tasks that cant
be done from Windows (such as disk imaging)

- Create and store configuration files for each
type of computer on your network (Configuration
files are hardware, i.e., NIC dependent) - Configuration files are saved on the computer
where you created them, and they can be re-used
to make additional boot files at any time

- Left click icon to select Boot Disk Creator
- Create new configuration by selecting New
Configuration folder

- Enter name and description for your configuration
- Being as detailed as possible on the description
helps with identification later

- Select BootWorks install package radio button for
installing BootWorks on the computers hard drive

- Select BootWorks boot disk radio button to allow
option to use Deployment Server Console or
connect under DOS (F2)

- Select Bootwork boot disk radio button to create
boot disk that connects the computer to a file
server under DOS

- Leave default radio button selection for
Microsoft Windows

- Uncheck Intel Universal NIC driver to PXE

- Select Have Disk
- Point to the drivers

IP address from a DHCP server

- Select Use TCP/IP to connect to Altiris eXpress
server - Do NOT change Port setting

- Username Bootwork
- Password none, leave it blank

- Boot disk will map F\ to eXpress share

- Select Finish to complete boot disk creation
