• Is the worse offender in deadly science writing.
• You can always replace it with a more
  descriptive word.
• Example It ran down the street. What ran down
  the street? The dog, the water, the girl, the
  clown????

• Using the word it in writing shows a weak
  writer.
• When being graded using the 6 traits, word choice
  would be affected.
• Replacing the word it when writing will always
  bring your readability score higher. Especially
  when you elaborate, extend , or surround the noun.

Examples

• It bounced higher.
• The ball bounced higher. (is ok, but)
• The multicolored bouncy ball bounced higher than
  both the marble and the yellow ping-pong ball.
• Can you do this?? Yes YOU can! YOU need to put
  forth the extra effort!

  word it or PP on your paper. Rewrite them in
  correct science writing.
