When is in necessary to buy an braille editor?

• It is recommended to use a commercial braille
  editor when
• The operation system on your computer is not
  Windows
• When you have embossers of other brand than Index
  or very old Index
• When you would like to integrate graphic in the
  braille file.This functionality will be
  implemented on Index CD 2003
• When your have a mixture of different brands of
  braille embossers
• When you have to much money to spend on your
  braille production system

What are the main differences between WinBraille
and other braille editors?

• WinBraille is free of charge
• WinBraille has an exclusive Windows printer
  driver, all other braille editors uses a standard
  Generic text only driver
• With WinBraille there is no need to setup the
  embosser, the printer driver will do it.
• WinBraille is a fully developed Windows program
  where you can emboss from any program. Other
  braille editors more like DOS program in
  Windows environment.
• WinBraille have full LAN network support
• Documents from almost all Windows editors and
  other programs can be embossed directly to
  WinBraille
• WinBraille is integrated in Word and Excel with
  emboss bottom and archive/emboss option.

• Page layoutThe page layout character/line and
  lines per page has to be the same on the braille
  editor and the embosser.Embosser page layout
  echo out when pressing the value key
• Braille tableCommercial braille editors normally
  uses the 6-dots US computer braille 2 table
  also called MIT code

• Select Index embosser or unlisted interpoint if
  your Index embosser do not exist
• Check that page layout corresponds to the
  embosser settings (value key echo)Desired
  character per line xxDesired lines per page
  yyNOTE lines per page in DBT must have one
  digit higher value than the embosser setting
• Click on treat as interpoint embosser (Not
  Basic-S)

DBT which embosser

• If your model of Index embosser exist on the list
  of embossers in DBT, select this option. DBT
  version 10.4 includes all Index embossers
• If your embossers do not exist on the list
  select unlisted interpoint and treat as
  Interpoint embosser for Basic-D, Everest, 4X4
  PROunlisted for Basic-S
