    other states

  • Volunteerism is down but nonprofit entities
    cannot afford to pay trend to push entities to
    become for profit
  • To encourage the youth to volunteer

  • Retirement (looking for something new) and youth
    are potential volunteers ability to increase
    the number of volunteers
  • Gambling on Indian land lack of ability to
    expand is a challenge but economic opportunity
    exists if expansion is allowed
  • Enhance scenic byways and control the number of
    billboards
  • Allow tax exemption for entities that enhance the
    quality of life

  • Opportunity for the small town to showcase what
    they have challenge is to get the tourist there
  • Badlands park generates tourists interest to
    further learn history and culture of the Native
    Americans
  • Tourists will come back to SD for reasons other
    than their initial visit need to readily
    provide the information
