Successful students are those who
- Are organised use diaries
- Plan for modular exams
- Engage fully with the subject
- Do less than 10 hours of paid employment each
week

Assessment Year 12
- Monitoring of all students with moderate GCSE
results - Student Progress file in staff room
- ALPS linked to minimum target grades
- A set of Student Performance Indicator Sheets
(SPI) in Year 12 in October - Target setting using SPI sheets
- Parents Evening - Thursday 10th December
- End of Year 12 reports in March
- Clear criteria for students transition from AS
to A2

Assessment Year 13
- Reassessment of minimum target grade
- SPI sheet in Year 13 in Dec target setting
- Predicted grades for UCAS
- Final report end of Easter term
- Student Progress file in staff room

What parents can do to help
- Students will be tired at the moment
- Ensure a formal place for students to study -
need to study 5 hours per subject per week - Find out the times of deadlines and exams
- Do not hesitate to ring form tutor or one of the
Sixth Form team if there are urgent problems - Arrange an agreement about going out on Sunday
evenings - Help them enjoy the Sixth Form - encourage
involvement in Sixth Form Council, fund raising,
charity work, Christmas Show Committee, May Ball
