• Step father was mean and did not believe women
  should go to school
• I was very smart in school and neighbors wanted
  to pay my way through college
• Step dad refused the offer

  had 2 children
• Divorced and worked 2 jobs to support family
• At 35, Went on welfare to get funded for college
• Graduated in 1981 with Electronics degree
