• Queens University is supporting the Energy
  Saving Trust advice centre during Energy Saving
  Week to help spread the word about saving energy.
  Almost half the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions
  we produce actually come from the energy we use
  at home, at work and when we travel. Therefore,
  for the 11th annual Energy Saving Week (22nd to
  the 28th Oct), the Estates Directorate and Energy
  Saving Trust are encouraging Queens staff
  students to spread the word about saving energy.

  energy check www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/check.
  You will receive a report on your home
  highlighting what you can do to save up to 250 a
  year on your energy bills. You will also be
  entered into a free draw for a luxury energy
  saving hamper and runner up prizes of 4 low
  energy light bulbs. When completing the
  questionnaire on line click QUB energy saving for
  where you heard about us or visit our stand at
  the Students Union on Wednesday 24th October and
  get your free low energy lightbulb.
• 2. Switch off your appliances and lights when not
  in use both at home and in work.
• Call your local advice centre on freephone number
  0800 512 012 and find out how you could get up to
  500 cashback for insulating your home and
  fitting heating controls. (The cashback is
  funded by NIE and NIHE for all homeowners in
  Northern Ireland regardless of your
  circumstances).
• 4. Spread the word .tell your friends and family
  about how they can also save energy. Lots of
