7Advantages of EFTPOS
Stolen Cheque books, it is easier to look after a
plastic card.
Less paperwork for both the shop and the banks.
EFTPOS is fast much faster than paying either by
cheque or by cash
Better security, who will rob a shop which has no
money in the tills!
Itemised statements are sent by the banks..
Up to date accounts. Cheques can take 3 days to
process. EFTPOS is instant.
8Disadvantages of EFTPOS
Expensive to buy and install. A small shop may
not be able to afford it.
Not everybody has a card. Debit cards must be
used for EFTPOS.
Breakdowns of the computer would mean that the
shop could not sell any goods.
