Timeline for Implementation

• GMS (existing campus) to become a completely
  wireless campus (May 07)
• 21st Century classroom training for staff becomes
  priority professional development initiative for
  the school year 2007-2008
• 21st Century classrooms completed for ALL core
  content subject areas (Jan 08)

• 21st Century classrooms become train-the-trainer
  environment for non-core content area teachers
  (2008-2009 academic year)
• Spring Summer 2008 GMS adopts proven GHS
  strategies that promote laptop leases/purchases
  by gt75 of student body

2008-2009

• GMS (existing campus) will require gt50 of all
  core content lessons to be technology-based
  utilizing the 21st Century classroom model
• Non-core content teachers will continue to train
  in the 21st Century classrooms in preparation for
  new MS

2009-2010

• GMS (new campus) opens with ALL classrooms
  equipped as 21st Century technology classrooms
• ALL staff will be required to conduct gt50 of ALL
  lessons utilizing the 21st Century classroom
  instructional design (the exception will be
  performing arts and physical education)
