Joan of Arc

• Joan of Arc (Jeanne d'Arc ) was a great
  heroine in France. She was born on 6th January
  1412 at Domremy in Champagne . She died in Rouen
  on 30th may 1431.
• Her fathers name was Jacques d'Arc .He was
  a small peasant farmer and was very poor.She was
  the youngest in her family. She had four sisters.
  She didnt learn to read or write. She was
  skilled in sewing and spinning .

Joan fought with the British people for the
freedom of France. In the beginning everyone made
fun of her but she fought very bravely. This made
her very famous. One day the British captured her
and she was put in a jail. They said that she was
a witch and they burned her.
