• UIRS 3.0 Beta 1 is almost complete, but there
  are a few finishing touches left.
• Forthcoming Changes (this week)

Plan of Action

• Provide introductory training via the internet
  and conference call to familiarize beta testers
  with the program and feedback process.
• LiveMeeting via the Internet
• Browser based PowerPoint
• Browser based Live Demo and Application Sharing
• Conference call for direct communication
• Two weeks of Beta Testing
• Frequent changes based on comments and planned
  changes
• Change log will be posted online and e-mailed to
  participants daily
• Schedule One on One Training via Windows
  Messenger application sharing as necessary.

• Create an Administrator Account
• Create user Accounts
• Create Event Reports
• Use fictitious but representative data
• Be creative to test field validation flaws /
  holes
• Provide Feedback
• E-mail or call with your questions
• Provide as much information as possible including
  screen shots or error code text

Whats Next

• Training Movie
• You will each be provided a link to a training
  video that will be viewable through your internet
  browser.
• This movie will have the step by step process
  for
• Using Master Accounts
• Creating Users
• User Replication
• Entering Event Data
• Entering MES Data
• Entering CAP Data
• Navigating the System
• Running Reports will be added at a later date
• You will be able to share this video with others
  if you choose
• Please feel free to comment on the training video
  as well
• Steps for completion
• A checklist will be e-mailed to you
• All testers will need to successfully complete
  these steps before beta testing can be closed

Changes Will Be Made

• Beta testing is not Piloting. Beta testing is the
  process of completing the work by verifying
  functionality, discovering bugs and providing
  feedback.
• As the beta testers provide feedback changes will
  be made to the system, which will then require
  subsequent testing and follow-up.
• When all the changes are made and no additional
  issues are discovered a limited group will begin
  Piloting the system with production data.

• This is the tentative schedule for UIRS 3.0
  Implementation
• October 18th - Facility Beta 1 Testing Begin
• October 31st Facility Beta 1 End Evaluate need
  for Beta 2
• November 2nd Begin Beta 2 Testing (if
  necessary)
• November 14th Conclude Beta 2 Testing (if
  necessary)
• November 22nd Begin State Beta 1 Testing
• November 29th Conclude State Beta 1 Testing
• December 6th Begin Joint State / Facility Pilot
  Testing.
• December 12th Conclude all testing.
• December 13th Send notification letters
• January 1st Implement System in production
  environment
• All dates subject to change this is an outline
  based on available information at this time.
