SOLCHROME PROCESS
  • Based on years of research and machine
    development.
  • Each roll of copper goes through pre-cleaning
    and rinsing stages
  • before nickel is applied.
  • Subsequently, the copper is rinsed again before
    the black chrome
  • solar selective coating is applied.
  • Subjected to a series of chemical rinses after
    which it undergoes an
  • extensive drying period.
  • A series of tests are carried out by our Quality
    Department to
  • ensure that our customers receive an
    excellent product.
  • Optical readings are taken at every 30 m to
    check Absorptivity (a) 0.96
  • 0.02 and Emissivity (e) 0.12 0.02.

Analysis by the Indian Institute of Technology,
Delhi of the conclusive joint testing carried out
at the Solar Energy Centre has revealed that even
for low temperature applications of 500 C and
above, Black Continuously Plated Solchrome Solar
Selectively Coated TIG Welded Fins and Tubes
increase the thermal efficiency of Flat Plate
Solar Collectors by more than 30 as against the
use of black paint.

NON CONVENTIONAL ENERGY SOURCES OF SOLCHROME FLAT
PLATE SOLAR COLLECTORS
Our Flat Plate Solar Collectors are rated as
extremely high quality collectors, having 72
thermal efficiency, as certified during
IndoorOutdoor Testing by Solar Energy Centre,
Ministry of Non Conventional Energy Sources.
During the Thermal Performance Test carried out
at the Solar Energy Centre, our Flat Plate Solar
Collectors have consistently achieved high
results of around FRUL 4.01W/m²C against the
present requirement of the Bureau of Indian
Standard of FRUL 6W/m²C.
