Staff Health Fair The Mater Hospital, in
partnership with the Northern Area Health Board,
held a Staff Health Fair on Tuesday 7th December
in the Pillar Room. Mr Cowley, Chief
Executive, officially opened the Fair at
11am. The event was very successful with
attendance from all disciplines within the
Hospital. It included information on various
health issues, testing, screening and
complementary therapies. A free raffle was held
with 9 spot prizes -Congratulations to all
winners!
Accreditation Countdown Calendar A new
Accreditation Countdown calendar will be issued
to staff in January 2005. Important dates
relating to the Accreditation Survey will be
highlighted as a reminder. Team Members Draw-All
team members will be entered into a

E-Assessment Training The Irish Health Services
Accreditation Board are currently developing an
E-Assessment software package. This will enable
all agencies to submit their documentation
electronically. Members of the Accreditation
teams will be trained on the software in the New
Year.
Reminder re Education Sessions In preparation for
the 2005 survey, the Irish Health Services
Accreditation Board will provide education
sessions. These are scheduled for February and
November. All Accreditation team members are
requested to attend. Dates for February
sessions are listed below Education Session

3 15th February 2005 (am)
Sr. John of the Cross Award The winner of the
December award will be announced in January.
