Mission Statement
  • The Hallmark Awards Program, which reflects the
    scholarly ideals of Phi Theta Kappa, serves to
    recognize superior individual and chapter
    achievement in Society programs. In this
    program, chapters compete against one another.
    Participation encourages excellence, reflects
    fairness, recognizes quality and leads to
    enhanced student, advisor and chapter development.

  • This Hallmark is a key component of chapter
    programming. Elements of fellowship include

    and work with those outside the college through a
    comprehensive program.

    strong component of Society programs
  • The Service Hallmark Awards entry asks you to
    discuss four projects on the International
    Service Program and as many as three projects
    outside the realm of the International Service
    Program

  • Quantifying (numbers)
  • Anecdotal (quotes-what people said)
  • The last questions of the Hallmark entry asks
    chapters to describe specific outcomes including
    impact on the chapter members and others.

Start Writing Now!
  • As soon as you have set your goals-write them
    down.
  • After each activity, take some time to
    debrief-what went well, what could be done
    differently, how many participants, what were the
    reactions of the participants, what were the
    feelings of the members who worked and planned
    the activity.
  • Write a description of the activity and what
    impact the activity had on the participants and
    the membership.

    succeed in the Hallmark Awards Program
  • Read through the entire nomination form and the
    scoring rubrics
  • Answer all the questions completely
