3Instructions for Gaining Access to TMHU Technical
Information Systems
- Some of your staff members may already have
access to the new TMHU Technical Information
System. Your staff may fall into one of the
following categories - If your staff already has a User Id and password
for any of the following systems, he or she can
use the same User Id and password to access the
new system - Dealer Directory, TSDR, Lost Order, Capacity
Quote/Nameplate, BMIS - If your staff already had a record in your Dealer
Portal Staff master, a new User Id and Password
has been automatically setup for him/her as such - User Id (i.e. User Name)
- First Initial Last name. E.g. Id for John
Smith will be Jsmith. - Password
- Same as his/her tmhutraining.coms password
- If a record does not exists for your staff in
your Dealer Portals Staff master, please - Add a record for him/her in your Dealer Portals
Staff master, - Have your staff call the Help Desk
(1-877-932-8648) and request an Id for the TMHU
Technical Information System. - If your staff encounters any system or user id
related issues, please have him/her contact the
Help Desk at 1-877-932-8648.

- The TMHU TIS application can be accessed using
either of the following - From tiedealers.com -gt choose TMHU TIS
- From Dealer Portal Welcome page -gt choose Dealer
Applications -gt choose TMHU TIS - The application can also be found at
- www.tiedealers.com/DealerTools/Techinfo

- The user will then be presented with the TMHU TIS

After signing in, the user will be directed to
the home page as illustrated below. The user can
return to the home page at anytime by clicking on
the Home link. On the home page there are 2
General Item selections Warranty and Service
8Warranty
- Provides information for Warranty Administrators
and Service Managers to properly file claims. - In this section you will be able to search and
obtain the latest Policy and Procedures, warranty
news bulletins, Class II III flat rate manuals,
warranty news letters and SAP news notes. - You can also download any required forms that are
needed to support warranty claims.
For fewer results, select the check box that
corresponds to the desired Document Category.
However this is not required if the correct
Document category is unknown.
9Service
- Provides technicians with the latest service
information for detailed troubleshooting and
repair guidelines. - In this section you have access to Repair
Manuals, Supplemental Repair Manuals, Service
Information Bulletins, Wiring Diagrams, Technical
News Briefs, Tech Tips and more. - You can also download Flashware or forms that are
needed for technical assistance requests.
For fewer results, select the check box that
corresponds to the desired Document Category.
However this is not required if the correct
Document category is unknown.
10Search Function
- The Keyword search explores the title and the
entire body of each document. This is not case
sensitive. - The Model field narrows results to only the
specific model. Again, this is not case sens - Note 7FG would return many more results than
7FGU25 - For fewer results, select the check box that
corresponds to the desired Document Category. If
no check boxes are selected, all of the Document
Categories will be searched.
11Warranty Search Function The example below
exhibits a search performed using keyword
"Transmission and truck model 7FGCU20.
Placing the green check in the SSP box means the
search will only look in the SSP
Category. Results SSP 2005-16 for the updated
clutch drum.
12Service Search Function The example below
exhibits a search performed using keyword
overheat with no truck model Placing the green
check in the Technical Tips box means the search
will only look in the Technical Tips Category.
13Opening a Document
- A properly executed search function returns a
list of results. - To open the document, left-click on the Adobe
icon under the Download column.
14Search within a document
- Once a document is open, you can scan the
document for specific phrases. - Left click Edit menu and select find
- Press ctrl f to activate this feature.
15Downloads
- Provides technicians with the ability to obtain
the latest electronic tool versions necessary to
properly troubleshoot and repair the units they
are working on.

- Adobe is the preferred format for all of the
documents. There is a link at the bottom of the
home page to Adobe. The Adobe software can be
downloaded for FREE from the website. - It is recommended to upgrade to Adobe Reader
