CSU/CTCC MOU-Transfer Compact Summary

• June 1973 Board of Trustees for CT State
  Colleges sign Joint Statement on Transfer and
  Articulation with Connecticut Community and
  Technical Colleges
• 1991, 1996, 1997 and 2004 Updates/Revisions
  made to system to system transfer agreement
• 1991 2007 Additional unique program to
  program agreements developed
• 1998 Eastern establishes first Transfer
  Compact with QVCC
• Implemented to ensure course selection during two
  years at CC mirror requirements necessary for
  timely completion of Eastern bachelor degree.
  Personalized advising serves as unique feature
• 1999 2004 Eastern signs Transfer Compact
  agreements with four other primary feeder
  community colleges including TRCC, MCC, ACC and
  CCC
• March 29, 2007 Chancellor Carter leads CSU to
  sign Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding
  transfer with twelve CT CCs
• Summer November 2007 CSU/CTCC chancellors
  appoint ECSU President Nunez and MCC President
  Daube to lead MOU Implementation Committee.
  Meetings held summer November
• November 28, 2007 MOU Implementation
  Committees efforts culminate in system-wide
  workshop to facilitate discussion/dialogue on
  implementation of MOU. ECSU hosted workshop
• October 2007 CSU/CTCC chancellors appoint
  Oversight Committee to focus on successful
  implementation of Transfer Compact agreements
• November 2007 Present MOU Oversight Committee
  meets regularly
• October 2008 Following tenants set forth in the
  MOU, Central, Southern and Western establish
  Transfer Compact agreements with primary feeder
  CCs. Eastern modifies its Transfer Compact
  agreements to include common language of MOU .
  Four Transfer Compact agreements have common
  content and format
• February 2009 MOU Oversight Committee completes
  System-to-System agreement ahead of 2010 goal.
