Managing the Collaboration
  • Managing an existing collaboration needs constant

  • Never underestimate the power of rumour and the
danger of minor incidents being construed as
confirming a negative myth or stereotype
  • Always start with the assumption that the other
partner is doing a good job when criticism is
    raised.

16
Managing the Collaboration
  • Senior management must continually reinforce the
worth and benefits of the collaboration to staff
  • Disagreements at a senior level must be dealt
with speedily and a system should be in place to
    resolve disputes at this level.
