  approximately 200 miles from nearest metropolitan
  area
• Approximately 3700 students (approx. 80 are
  underrepresented minority)
• Comprehensive institution offering
• 37 bachelors degrees

• 6 doctoral degrees
• Historically black institution and 1890 land
  grant institution for the state of Maryland
