This channelized receiver sub-system using the
Model 6230 VIM-4 Receiver and Model 4294 Quad G4
PowerPC contains 4 A/D converters, 32 narrow band
digital receivers, two FPGAs, four PowerPCs and
a RACE interface in one VME slot!
18RACEway Direction Finding System
Multiple receivers tuned to a single source can
send time-stamped RACEway packets across the
RACE fabric to DSPs employing the DF
algorithms. The system is highly scalable for
numbers of channels and DSP processors.
19Analog IF Tracking Receiver System
Wideband A/D data (red) flows directly to the
PowerPC for FFT energy detection. Digital
receivers are pre-tuned (green) so that when the
delayed A/D data arrives, signals can be
dehopped and delivered for demodulation (blue).
20Digital IF Tracking Receiver System
This tracking receivers uses the 6250 FPGAs to
compute real time FFTs for energy detection and
tuning of the receivers in the 6232 so that
delayed signals can be de-hopped. RACE joins
the three processors for signal routing.
