2MISSION
Manage, control, maintain and operate an all
weather all terrain, multi-mission installation
with the capability to simultaneously support
training, testing, maneuver, mobilization and
deployment in a single service, joint and
combined environment.

A battalion staffed with trained and competent
soldiers and civilians imbued with Army ethics
who can accomplish all tasks to standard while
being efficient and effective. A world class
training complex with fully modernized firing
ranges training areas where soldiers and units
can accomplish all training objectives and a
safe interconnecting road network.
5MISSION ESSENTIAL TASK LIST
- Effectively and safely manage, control, and
operate all Fort Bliss training areas, ranges,
restricted airspace, and base camps. - Provide tailored customer support to units using
the Ft. Bliss Training Complex including
administrative, operational, and logistical
support. - Maintain and upgrade Ft. Bliss ranges, training
areas, base camps, and associated facilities and
equipment. - Conduct effective job related training
- Provide quality soldier care and family team
building.
6FT. BLISS TRAINING COMPLEX
The Ft. Bliss Training Complex is 1.1 million
acres -- 1.5 times larger than the state of
Rhode Island.

7CAPABILITIES
- Total area - 1.1 Million acres (1,760 square
miles) - 1-1/2 times larger than the state of
Rhode Island. - Two major maneuver areas encompassing more than
500 square miles. - Sixty-seven (67) ranges.
- Nine artillery firing groups with the capability
to fire all artillery systems to include MLRS -
ATACMS is launched from McGregor range complex
into WSMR. - Multi-Purpose Range Complex - Heavy.
- 26 air defense missile firing sites.
- Aerial tactical flight training and gunnery.
- Control of restricted airspace (1500 square
miles). - Three major range base camps - billeting and
messing for 2,600 personnel.
