- Sign and submit proposals according to delegation
from RA via an SOP - Make all cost accounting and other transaction
decisions. - Conduct all proposal-assistance work with the PI
and department support staff (which is minimal) - Have full access to submit using Fastlane,
Grants.gov, Era Commons, etc.. - Only complex matters concerning proposals and
accounting matters come to central administration

Saddle the PI with everything to avoid audit
findings are getting in trouble.
Conduct a risk benefit assessment and deploy
systematic solutions.
8Add basic data to PINS
PINS is our System to obtain internal approvals
before authorizing a proposal or a project. It
stands for Project Information Navigation System.
Approve the Record
9Once approved, data is maintained in admin
system (RADAR)
RADAR is our system to store all Research
Administration Data including Proposal and Award
documents. It stands for Research Administration
Data and Reporting You run reports too
Including the proposal itself.
