Most of the recent population growth in the
region occurred around the Enterprise Fredericton
region while declines were present in the
outlying areas. The Enterprise Central NB regions
is one of the few regions with an overall
population growth.
9York County
(Population Change)
Falling birth rates and rising death rates have
resulted in smaller but positive levels of
population growth. This is further enhanced by a
mixed but generally positive net in-migration.
Source Adapted from Statistics Canada, Annual
Demographic Statistics, 2001, Cat. No.91-213
CAUTION Scales differ between charts.
10Queens County
(Population Change)
Falling birth rates which have been exceeded by
rising death rates have resulted in a natural
population decline in this region, which has been
acerbated by a sporadic but generally small net
out-migration from the region.
Source Adapted from Statistics Canada, Annual
Demographic Statistics, 2001, Cat. No.91-213
CAUTION Scales differ between charts.
11Sunbury County
(Population Change)
Since birth rates have exceeded death rates, and
because CFB Gagetown has kept net migration
neutral, this region has experienced a small, but
albeit, positive natural population growth.

Demographic Statistics, 2001, Cat. No.91-213

An establishment operating in more than one
province is classed to a size according to its
employment total for Canada, not for an area in a
specific province. Thus the establishment classed
as 500 in this chart really means there is an
establishment operating in this region of New
Brunswick whose Canadian employment is 500 even
if it may employ fewer than 500 in this
Enterprise region.
