FOOTBALL WIDE BAY Inc PLANS FOR 2008

Country League

• The Zone to be part of the Country Structure
• This will ensure the Players are playing against
  their peers, ensuring they are compared on an
  even playing field when being observed by State
  Selectors.
• The zone to provide teams at U12, U13, U14 and
  U15 Boys. Plus perhaps Under 15 Girls.

Wide Bay

• Players to register with their Club, but will
  train and play fulltime with Wide Bay.
• Second teams at U12 and U13 plus U 16/17 boys
  teams plus remaining female teams continue to
  train on a monthly Basis as in past. Players Must
  play for their CA.
• These teams will compete State Carnivals.
• The Female C of E to consist of 20 players across
  all ages.

Full Time Squads

• Train on set night at their local CA, i.e.
  Players in Under 12 and Under 13 squad from
  Bundaberg will train in Bundaberg with the Under
  13 Head Coach.
• Under 12 and Under 13 players from Gympie will
  train in Gympie under the Under 12 Head Coach
• Players from Hervey Bay and Marybourgh can choose
  to train at either Bundaberg or Gympie.

• All Full time Squad players will attend Centre of
  Excellence training on Thursdays.
• Teams will be entered into Maryborough Football
  Competition. Playing Games on Saturdays
• Teams will play in higher age group. i.e Group as
  deemed appropriate by WB-
• 1 or 2 years above age.

• All Full time Squads will compete against other
  Country Zones on a Monthly Basis during April,
  May and June.
• Games planned for that Saturday in Maryborough
  League will be played mid week.
• Players could be returned to 2nd squad or Club
  football due to poor performance or discipline
  problems.

Carnivals

• All age groups will compete in a Carnival similar
  to the TIS events of previous years.
• Full Time in Country League followed by State
  selection.
• Under 12, Under 13 second teams to compete in
  Harry Linning and Peter Cox Carnival.
• Under 17 details to be finalised.
