• The University has been granted a federal licence
  issued by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission
  which has reviewed the Universitys detailed
  radiation safety program.

• The University operates a Radiation Safety
  Committee that
• reviews all aspects of the radiation safety
  program, include training, security, inspection
  reports and issues internal permits to
  researchers requesting work with radioactive
  sources
• comprised of faculty, administrative technical
  staff, Office of Research Services, Centre of
  Environmental Health and Safety Management and
  the University Radiation Safety Officer
• reports to the Provost and the Vice-President of
  Administration
