• Kohler Properties, Kohler, Wisconsin, owns the
  Old Course Hotel Resort.
• Much like their renowned golf club, Whistling
  Straits, The Dukes is an outstanding golf in St.
  Andrews.
• Beautiful facility, great course, and it
  overlooks the St. Andrews Bay.
• The Dukes works very closely with Old Course
  Hotel and would be great for student interns.
• The Dukes is open for PGM, FB, and club
  management interns. Limited housing available,
  two-week paid vacation with 6-month internship.

Details of Internship

• The Old Course Hotel prefers a 1 year placement,
  but will accommodate for 6 month placement.
• Students with 6 month internships will be focused
  in either Rooms OR Food Beverage. This would
  include a 2-week paid vacation.
• Students with 1 year internships would work in
  both Rooms AND Food Beverage. This would
  include a 4-week paid vacation.
• Housing is very limited, but contact information
  with local housing rental companies will be
  provided. They do offer housing for a very
  limited number of interns in an off-premises
  location.

Details of Internship

• They are hosting the British Open event in July
  2010 .
• St. Andrews Links Trust manages 7 public golf
  courses in St. Andrews, including the Old Course,
  New Course, Castle Course, and others.
• Seeking PGM interns and FB or club management
  interns, as they have a significant club house
  operation (see picture).
• 6 month Internships from early May to late
  October. Housing will have to be arranged
  independently. Two-week paid vacation.

Description

• Property is located in a resort setting in St.
  Andrews, just a few miles from the city center.
  Housing will have to be arranged independently.
• Internships in rooms and food beverage
• Minimum of 6 month placement (preferably 1 year
  placement). Interns would begin in early May and
  conclude in early November. Two-week paid
  vacation during this time period.
• Rooms would begin at the front desk, with
  rotations into housekeeping, and other key areas.
• Food Beverage would be in service- dining
  rooms, catering/ events, room service, etc.

• Has three great golf courses, including two
  historic and one newly designed Nicholas designed
  course
• Internships in Food Beverage, students would
  work in two main dining rooms, room service,
  events/catering, and other FB service related
  areas
• Rooms division would be primarily in
  housekeeping no opportunity for front office or
  guest services
• Requires 6 month minimum (May- November)
• Two-week paid vacation, housing available.
