Reward Yourself Get Involved
  • The program is an invaluable experience for the
    scholars
  • Attending the conference as a scholar has
provided me with a wealth of benefits.
Personally, the best part of being a scholar was
networking with students from around the world.
In addition to meeting fellow scholars, I was
also able to meet many professionals in
operations and get a better idea of possible job
opportunities available to me as a student
pursuing an operations supply chain degree.
  • Jaclyn Carlson, November 2006
  • The conference helped me learn industry-related
concepts, which are not a part of course work.
Networking and meeting with high profile
professionals was also a major benefit. Finally,
speakers Burt Rutan, the innovator in aerospace,
and Scott Adams, the Dilbert cartoonist, devoted
time to the scholars and shared some tips on
working in organizations and innovations to be
    carried out.
  • Nilesh Kulkarni, November 2006
  • I hope others will realize just how beneficial
this conference was for students, and maybe they
will be inclined to support the students who
would like to attend this incredible event next
    year.
  • Mandy Price, November 2006

Reward Yourself Get Involved
  • and for the mentors.
  • The scholar/mentor program at the APICS
conference enhances the very meaning of APICS and
the conference by allowing a sharing of knowledge
from veteran APICS members to students, thus
expanding the horizon of both through sharing of
    ideas.
  • Charles H. King, CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP, November
    2006
  • What a great recruitment program! This program
proactively recruits not only future members of
APICS but many of our future leaders. These
students are the Best and the Brightest that
will take our profession to the next level of
    profitability.
  • Daniel W. Braun, CPIM, CIRM, November 2006
  • I made a last minute decision to become a
mentor. It was a great experience, and I enjoyed
sharing my experience and knowledge with my
scholar. I believe she, too, enjoyed the
experience. I also believe I was able to enhance
her conference experience, especially in the
networking luncheons. Thank you for this
    opportunity.
  • Erica Tait, CPIM, November 2006
