46 of Students gained either A or B at A Level.
79 got either A, B or C.
100 Pass Rate A-E at A Level got to university
of their choice BTEC students all passed with
flying colours got their chosen career path or
university choice.
3Curriculum
- Year 12 curriculum consists of the following
- Four AS courses/BTEC course
- One-to-One session every fortnight - take
responsibility for identifying own learning gap
and work out how to address it - Weekly Assembly Mondays
- General PE every other week
- General RE/Extended Project encourages
independent study passion for subject worth
UCAS pts - Private Study sessions - 5 hours private study
per subject per week when in the week are you
doing 20 hours study??
4How A-Levels work
- 1st Year of study is called AS Level
- A 60 UCAS points
- B 50 UCAS points
- C 40 UCAS points
- D 30 UCAS points
- E 20 UCAS points
- comprising 2 or 3 modules
- Students must gain three D grades or above in
order to continue on to the 2nd year of study - 2nd Year of study is called A2 Level and during
this year, you take a further 2-3 modules - A 140 UCAS points
- A 120 UCAS points
- B 100 UCAS points
- C 80 UCAS points
- D 60 UCAS points
- E 40 UCAS points
5University offers
- Offers to university are
- straight offers BBC
- UCAS points - 300 pts
- Mixture - at least 2 Bs rest to make up 260
pts. - Predicted grades going given to university will
be based on what students achieve this year. - For the English Bacc. need to take AS Critical
Thinking complete the Extended Project at least
three A2 subjects some community
6New starred A grades
- First being awarded in August 2010.
- To get an A, you must meet the following two
requirements - - 80 UMS overall (i.e. the current
requirements for an A). - - 90 UMS overall in the A2 units.
- You don't get an A for 90 overall. Only the A2
units (i.e. the units normally taken in Year 13)
count towards the award of an A. - Even if you get 100 in your AS units, 89 in
your A2 ones isn't enough for an A.
