Excluding Web Sites from SharePoint
  • 1. On the SharePoint server go to All Programs -gt
    SharePoint Portal Server -gt SharePoint Central
    Administration. This will open an admin page in
    a web browser.
  • 2. Under Portal Site and Virtual Server
    Configuration click "Configure Virtual server
    settings from the virtual server list page.
  • 3. Select the virtual server you are trying to
    update (i.e. "Default Web Site").
  • 4. Under Virtual Server Management click "Define
    Managed Paths.
  • 5. Under Add a New Path, enter a value for your
    site to exclude. This should match the virtual
    directory you created in IIS. For example type
    "/MyWS" You can verify this by clicking "Check
    URL.
  • 6. Select "Excluded Path" for the type and click
    OK.
  • 7. Run IISReset to ensure the changes take
    effect.
