Dear Parents and Neighbours Wychall Primary
School is to become Birminghams first Full
Service Extended School. This means that our
school will be open to our whole community
providing a One Stop Shop for a range of
services including childcare, health and
counselling services, adult learning facilities
(including IT), advice centre for benefits,
housing etc. This would not affect existing
services but is intended to extend and complement
them. Access to services is not dependent on
children attending Wychall.
NB You do not have to have a child in school to
benefit! All children families are welcome to
use the facilities.

How can you help? We need to know exactly the
sort of services and contact that our community

• How could this benefit our community?
• Year round affordable child care with facilities
  from 3yrs onwards, e.g. breakfast clubs, after
  school clubs, holiday clubs, etc.
• The community decide on services that are
  required, e.g. Citizens Advice, housing, health
  and counselling, training and various
  recreational courses, including computer
  training.
• Door-step access to essential services

How does the school benefit? At Wychall Primary
we believe that the family are the most important
partners in the education of the children. By
providing these services children will gain from
the direct benefit of additional services without
long waiting lists. Indirectly children will
benefit from the support and advice that their
families may receive.
