Private Sector Representation -Present status.

• CCM is composed of 25 members representing
  various sectors including the Private Sector.
• Private Sector representation limited to one
  member.
• Several Organizations have launched Corporate
  Social Responsibility CSR programmes.

• Business Climate not Conducive.
• Not always aware of the effects of disease on
  productivity
• Time constraints

How Can we improve ?

• CCM needs to create awareness
• Effects of Diseases
• Responsibility of PS to Society.
• Identify resources available and pool them.

Our Strategies

• CCM to Conduct Awareness programmes to educate
  the PS.
• One on One Discussions.
• Invite the other Chambers / Federations as
  Observers
• Invite Trade union orgs as observers

A Vibrant Private Sector will

• Co-operate with government to implement National
  Programmes
• Continue and further enhance effectiveness of
  programmes
• Ensure Programmes are more cost effective
• Prevent overlapping
• Identify specific activities/areas
• Facilitate formation of coalitions.
