• Molly Brown was not born into wealth, in fact she
  was very poor.
• Her older brother Daniel worked in the mines of
  Leadville, Colorado. Mrs. Brown worked at a
  mercantile store.
• She attended elementary school in Hannibal, her
  aunt was administrator of the school.
• Molly and her family started a soup kitchen for
  miners.
