LSI Program Manager Wins SAIC Award

• SAIC presents annual companywide achievement
  awards to SAIC's technical and administrative
  staff for extraordinary contributions to the
  company, to customers, and to the public
  interest. In March 2007, the Excellence in
  Program Management Program Manager of the
  Year-Small Program award was presented to SAICs
  Laury Decker, program manager for the Directed
  Energy Test and Evaluation Capability (DETEC).
  SAIC serves as lead systems integrator (LSI) for
  DETEC.
• Decker has won high praise from his client for
  "expert management" and "programmatic
  responsiveness." His stewardship of DETEC funding
  resulted in development efforts to date running
  20 percent below the government's original
  estimates. DETEC received a PEO STRI Team
  Achievement Recognition (STAR) award, recognizing
  team excellence in the implementation of
  acquisition reform streamlining principles. PEO
  STRI has assigned consecutive 100 percent award
  fees to the DETEC LSI team, thanks in large part
  to Decker's leadership. Decker has introduced
  many noteworthy management innovations, such as
  the layered integrated product team concept and
  the integrated digital environment.
