  • The History Channel Presents The 40th
    Anniversary of the Assassination of John F.
    Kennedy

Introduction
  • Reflection on September 11, 2001 and compare to
    November 22, 1963.
  • What made JFK such a famous president.

Task
  • Your and your group of three others have been
    hired by the History Channel to put together a
    documentary commemorating the 40th anniversary in
    2003 of Kennedy's assassination. 
  • Your group will be looking into Kennedy's
    campaigning and elections, his role in the Bay of
    Pigs/Cuban Missile Crisis, Civil Rights, and his
    assassination.

Objectives
  • Students become familiar with using the Internet
    to access information.
  • Students will be able to reinforce their
    knowledge by further examining personal accounts
    of Kennedy, Kennedy's speeches, and the multitude
    of assassination theories pertaining to JFK. 
  • Students will also establish affective
    communication skills to successfully work
    together in groups.
  • Students will further understand how Kennedy's
    presidency effected the United States as well as
    other countries.

    collage, and a timeline.
