Title: Purpose, Principles, and Program

1
  • Purpose, Principles, and Program
  • of the Campaign for Liberty
  • A presentation by Adam de Angeli

2
Purpose
  • Official Mission Statement To promote and
defend the great American principles of
    individual liberty, constitutional government,
sound money, free markets, and a
non-interventionist foreign policy, by means of
    educational and political activity.
  • I say To promote and defend is not enough you
must succeed! The mission is not to try, it is
    to win.

3
Purpose
  • My Mission Statement To restore and secure the
great American principles of individual liberty,
    constitutional government, sound money, free
    markets, and a non-interventionist foreign
policy, by establishing them as the principles of
a prevailing number of leaders in all levels of
    government.
  • Still, same basic idea

4
Purpose
  • ...through educational and political activity.
  • We reject the initiation of violence
  • We believe the government must be elected by the
    people
  • We believe that liberty is inherently popular,
and a critical mass of well-organized action is
    all it needs to win
  • As a 501c4, Campaign For Liberty HQ cannot
endorse candidates. But it can give you the
tools and training to find candidates, train
    activists, and win elections.

5
Purpose
  • The system will only ever change if the American
people change. Massive political change does not
occur because like-minded people talk amongst
themselves it occurs when they engage others.
This we do methodically, block by block, precinct
    by precinct.

6
Purpose
  • The system will not be changed by protests, by
isolated resistance, or even by massive
resistance if the resistance is unable to replace
the old decision-makers with better ones.
  • If we cannot elect disciplined liberty candidates
at the moment of revolution, how could we
expect to in future elections? Change will not
    last unless people are replaced.
  • We need a new school of politicians. We need to
find them (preferably before they find usfewer
    opportunists).

7
Principles Individual Liberty
  • Individual is the sovereign rule is lawful only
with the consent of the governed
  • Equal rights for all people regardless of group
  • State is not permitted to infringe on individual
whether or not majority would allow it

8
Principles Constitutional Government
  • Rule of law, not of politicians
  • All provisions of Constitution must by abided
  • Undesirable provisions must be properly amended
    and may not be disregarded
  • Key aspects of Constitution
  • Separation of powers
  • Sound money
  • Bill of Rights

9
Principles Sound Money
  • Money must be redeemable for a given amount of
physical asset on hand cannot be created from
    thin air
  • All fiat money systems collapse
  • Saving is meaningless if currency collapses
  • Our system a banking cartel steals from the
value of the dollar to allow government to buy
    population into dependence

10
Principles Free Markets
  • Economic problems caused by lack of, not
    existence of, free market
  • Little known fact big evil corporations
benefit from regulation and lobby for it
  • Government provides welfare to largest companies,
    regulation harms smallest ones most
  • Public interest grants/incentives often backfire

11
Principles Non-Interventionist Foreign Policy
  • The world is not good guys v. bad guys
  • Empires fall, ours showing all bad signs
  • Alliances are liabilities, not assets
  • Managing a global empire is not affordable
  • Opposition to American imperialism is causing a
worldwide call for global government, which would
put individual liberty at greater risk than ever
    before
