Gambling in New Zealand Pokies
  • 2005 Ministry of Health study shows that
    non-casino gaming machines are sited in the most
    vulnerable communities.
  • 53 of machines are situated in decile 8,9 10.
  • 56 Maori and 72 Pacific peoples are in the
    above deciles.
  • 5 times as many machines in deciles 9 and 10 than
    in deciles 1 and 2
