21CO2 fugacity (fCO2) and chlorophyll a (Chl a)
concentrations during the Subarctic Pacific Iron
Experiment for Ecosystem Dynamics Study (SEEDS)
in the western subarctic gyre of the North
Pacific. The results show a larger CO2 drawdown
(94µatm) than previous iron-enrichment
experiments. The plots denote the vessels track
relative to the center buoy during each survey.
The x and y axes represent the distance (in
kilometers) from the center buoy, and the
concentration is indicated by the colour scale on
the right (Tsuda et al., 2003)
