What is Jigsaw Grouping?

• Jigsaw Grouping is a cooperative learning
  technique that has each participant responsible
  for completing and understanding one part of the
  whole. Each participant must share his or her
  knowledge effectively with the group to complete
  the puzzle.

How will this work?

• Each student will be assigned a segment of the
  lesson
• You will have time to research your topic and
  answer questions. From this you will prepare a
  professional looking poster on your topic. Mrs.
  Noah and Ms. Mefford (when she is in our
  classroom) will be available to assist as you
  work on this, and you may also use Read and Write
  Gold.
• You must be prepared to present your information
  to the class.
• All students will take notes on the
  presentations.
• You should be prepared to answer questions.
• All students will be tested on all material after
  the presentations are complete.
