  • Exposure to hazardous/ toxic environments
  • Routine immunizations
  • Participation in weapons training, swimming quals
    and diving duty
  • Overall activity level dependent on advice from
    medical provider
  • Six weeks convalescent leave
  • Four month sea duty travel deferment following
    birth

Navy Pregnancy Policy During Prescribed Sea Tour
  • Prescribed sea tour is completed as appropriate
  • Must be within 6 hrs of emergency medical care
  • Allows CO flexibility for short underway periods
    such as anchorages, berth shifts, ammo loads, etc
  • CO decision to transfer prior to 20th week or
    date of deployment
  • Advice of medical care provider, occupational
    health professional and Sailors chain of command
  • Sailor shall NOT remain onboard past her 20th
    week
  • BAQ discretionary up to 20th week, then guaranteed
