Title: Egamma, muon, tau and jet have been integrated for the first time with 11.0.6

1
Status of Algorithm Integration with 12.0.3 (1)
  • Egamma, muon, tau and jet have been integrated
for the first time with 11.0.6
  • See Immas talk at last PESA Algorithm meeting
  • The integration work with 12.0.3 is starting
  • Offline release is not very stable, hopefully so
    soon
  • Many people involved in algorithm integration
also work on other things so cannot afford to
    debug under unstable situation
  • In the future setup automatic nightly tests?
  • HLT setup with offline nightlies not yet
    automatic, will be soon
  • Effort should ramp up since we need to integrate
    for 12.0.3-LST
  • Only a few weeks for integration, LST nominally
    starts Nov. 1.
  • Plan is to follow the same integration strategy
    as 11.0.6
  • Slice jo with BS read to be tested with MT/PT
    then combined jo
  • People working of slice integration
  • Jets/etmiss John Idarraga, Jonathan Ferland
  • Taus Pilar Casado, Carlos Osuna
  • Egamma Xin Wu, Imma Riu
  • Muons Alessandro Di Mattia, Diana Scannicchio

2
Status of Algorithm Integration with 12.0.3 (2)
  • Egamma slice
  • jo runs offline
  • L2 T2CaloEgamma, L2CaloHypo, IdScan, SiTrack,
    L2IDCaloHypo
  • TRTxK not working (should be fixed tonight)
  • EF TrigCaloCellMaker, TrigCaloTowerMaker,
    TrigCaloClusterMaker, EF ID (10
    algorithms)
  • EF ID BS converter has a bug (see Iwonas talk)
  • ERROR message with new TrigCaloRec to be
    understood
  • TrigEgammaRec to be included
  • Test with athenaMT/athenaPT ongoing
  • Setup HLT with offline nightlies works
  • BS-read with mc12 top events (ATLAS?DC3?05)
  • Muon slice
  • jo runs offline (crashed fixed, details to be
    investigated)
  • LVL2 muFast, muFastHypo
  • muComb and L2 ID to be included
  • EF 3 versions of TrigMoore, TrigMooreHypo
  • BS-read with DC2 top events (Rome-Initial)
  • Need to update to newer productions

3
Status of Algorithm Integration with 12.0.3 (3)
  • Jet slice
  • Much work has done with 11.0.5 on the McGill test
    bed
  • See John Idaragas presentation at last PESA
    Performance meeting
  • Integration with 12.0.3 is starting
  • Input is J2, J5 and VBF samples
  • Algorithms
  • LVL2 T2CaloJet
  • EF TrigCaloRec, TrigJetRec, Hypo
  • TrigCaloRec should be updated to TrigCellMaker
    etc.
  • Tau slice
  • Tau slice with transient BS read is quite
    complete
  • Work started on online integration

4
Status of Algorithm Integration with 12.0.3 (4)
  • Request to slice integration
  • Agree on a BS input for the common jo
  • Test the slice jo with two possible BS inputs
  • One for combined test (mc12 top events)
  • Another for slice test, if top events cannot be
    used
  • Start to implement nightly test of the online
    slice integration
  • Need to setup HLT and DAQ with offline nightlies
  • Request to all algorithm developers
  • Please implement monitoring histograms as soon as
possible if you want to have your algorithms
    validated online
  • Please participate in the Large Scale Test
  • Preparation on test beds, taking shifts(!) and
    analysis of output
  • It is a good opportunity to learn how to run HLT
online and make first-hand measurements of your
    algorithms
