  most Library Catalogs and Traditional Online
  Databases are still Not as Smart as Google. So it
  is up to you to give the proper instructions.

• So what should we do? The exact procedures may be
  different depending on the database and the kinds
  of questions. For illustrative purpose, try to
  search for ???????????????? in WiseSearch as an
  example.

  concepts that would be used in the articles. E.g.

• Third, use Boolean Searching (AND / OR / NOT) to
  specify the relationship among the key terms
• AND both terms must appear at the same time.
  E.g. MTR and KCR and merging
• OR either term appears will be good enough.
  E.g. KCR East or KCR West or Light Rail
• NOT except for. E.g. VISA not credit card

• Finetuning be flexible
• use broader terms / narrower terms / leave out
  some terms to get more / less items
• read relevant items and look for better search
  terms / subject keywords used by the database
  (e.g. add ???? to search terms)
• use special features provided by the specific
  database (E.g. in WiseSearch use Synonyms ???,
  select only HK publications, restrict by columns
  and sections, change dates, search within
  results, etc.)
