Changes at Memorial School

• Starting next school year, Memorial School will
  service students in PRE-K through Grade 2
• Grade 3 will move to Toy Town Elem.
• Pre-K Program housed at Marvin will move to
  Memorial

Winchendon Public School PRE-K Program

• Pre-K program is for local children aged three
  and four
• Offers an integrated program with emphasis on
  hands-on developmentally appropriate curriculum.
  (Accredited by NAEYC)
• Each classroom is run by a Early childhood
  /Special education teacher and an assistant
  teacher. Adult child ratios are seven to one or
  less.
• The Pre-K program is a tuition based program.
  (excluding students who qualify for special
  services.)

SCHOOL within a SCHOOL

• The relocation will not impact related services,
  tuition formula or our current NAEYC
  accreditation status.
• The Winchendon Pre-K Program will have its own
  Security Door Entrance (A3) to the right of the
  Memorial School Main Entrance.
• The program will continue to utilize a Pre-K
  telephone number, secretary and access to the
  Global Connect System for school to parent
  communication
• Parent Orientation programs including home
  visits, and school site visits will be scheduled
  prior to the start of preschool.
• Parents and families swill be notified regarding
  any programmatic changes that may occur during
  this relocation transition

  Library, Gymnasium, Guidance counselor, Related
  service providers,
• Enhanced Kindergarten transition Programs
