• Friends, Families and Travellers (FFT) seek to
  end racism and discrimination against Gypsies and
  Travellers, whatever their ethnicity, culture or
  background, whether settled or mobile, and to
  protect the right to pursue a nomadic way of
  life.

• 7.9 of people living in Britain are from a
  minority ethnic background nearly half were born
  in the UK.
• About 27 of Britain's doctors and 43 of nurses
  were born overseas!

• Equality is about making sure people are treated
  fairly and given fair chances. Equality is not
  about treating everyone in the same way, but it
  recognises that their needs are met in different
  ways.
