Teaching Philosophy

• All students can learn. Teachers need to create
  an environment where learning occurs in a
  structured, yet engaging atmosphere. Instruction
  is also differentiated when necessary to meet
  needs in non-static learning groups. The teacher
  is a facilitator, matching instruction with
  developmental needs and scaffolding learning.
  Enrichment and remediation are a must to meet the
  needs in a heterogeneous classroom of learners.
  The keys to educating the community are belief in
  children as successful learners and commitment to
  the family of each child.

• Initiated the integration of technology by
  encouraging and supporting the development of
  biography and animal research PowerPoint
  presentations for each individual student
• Technology Facilitator and Mentor
• Provided training and support to teachers of
  various technology skill levels in developing web
  pages and web quests
• Organized and conducted technical training of
  professional staff at the district level for
  various software programs and technology
  integration
