  • Face of Quality starting on the Newsletter
  • Continuing to measure program meeting
    memberships satisfaction
  • Member Retention Survey conducted by the
    membership committee.
  • Welcome packages for new members with free coupon
    for the program meeting
  • Improved success rate for recertifications
    achievements
  • On going successful Six Sigma Special Interest

Program
  • Creates a schedule of programs and quality
    clinics
  • Arranges for speakers on the desired topics
  • Confirms location and refreshments.
  • We had joint event with APICS in late September
    2004, Plant tour in October.

Newsletter
  • Ensure that Section members receive an
    informative newsletter on a consistent and timely
    basis.
  • Oversees and coordinate the Design and Layout of
    each newsletter issue.
  • We are introducing on-line only newsletter
    starting April 2005.

Publicity
  • Publicizes Section meetings and programs to the
    membership and community in a timely manner and
    prepares related media releases.
  • Establishes and/or enhances links between ASQ and
    parallel organizations committed to quality.
  • Establishes ASQ as a means to access and actively
    participates in the hidden job market

  • Obtains sponsors for monthly meetings and
    newsletters

Education
  • Markets certification courses and offer refresher
    courses
  • Promotes and leads study groups
  • This Year we offered 1 day CQE/Six Sigma
    Statistics refresher course with six
    participants.
  •  A Special Interest Group for Six Sigma began
    last year, headed by Jon Morris and Vladimir
    Kajdan. It meets once a month and covers exam
    preparation and advanced topics.

  • Administers and proctor certification exams 4
    times a year
  • In conjunction with Education chair, plans and
    delivers refresher courses for the exams
  • Advise/supports members on the certification
    process/preparation for the exams
