International Coverage
  • In 2007, 360 field agents were detailed overseas
    and closed more than 24,000 international leads
  • Beginning January 11, 2008, 78 field agents were
    sent to various locations around the world as
    part of OPMs largest deployment

Electronic Agency Delivery
  • Over 147,000 completed files sent electronically
    to Army for adjudication action
  • Over 6,500 files sent electronically to the
    Department of Transportation
  • 17 other agencies have expressed interest

Centralized Law Checks
  • Conducting NLETS or statewide law checks in nine
    states (AL, HI, MD, MS, NY, SC, TX, UT, and VA)
    representing 20 (730,000) of FISDs annual law
    checks
  • Recently approved transfer of seven additional
    states to NLETS or centralized processing (AZ,
    GA, LA, MI, NC, OK, and PA)
  • With added states, almost 41 (1,453,000) of law
    checks will be done through NLETS or centralized
    processing

  • Partnering with the Department of Defense (DOD)
    and Office of the Director for National
    Intelligence (ODNI) to reform the security
    clearance process

    optimize the current process

    an average of 65 days (vs. 80 in 67 days now)
