Summary
Because of Winn-Dixie is a story about a girl and
her dog. There was a search for what really
matters in life. Opal finds herself struggling to
understand and accept why her mother left her.
She first finds this friendship in a dog she she
sees as less fortunate and names him Winn-Dixie.
She found him in the store Winn- Dixie. Opal
learns lessons about life and love. Opal
discovered that letting go doesnt mean losing.

Setting
The story takes place in two places. It takes
place at Winn-Dixie in Naomi, Florida, and it
takes place at Opals house.

Main Character
The main character is Opal. Opal is very
responsible because she took care of Winn-Dixie
whenever he needed to eat and be cleaned.

My Opinion
My opinion of the book is that this story is very
good. The book was good when Opal first saw
Winn-Dixie.
