Mentor Guidelines

• Each team is allowed to schedule a weekly 30 min
  meetings with their mentor
• On some weeks, you may choose to skip this
  meeting if you have nothing to talk about
• Try to email questions ahead of time to your
  mentor before the meeting so you can maximize the
  time you have in the meeting
• Mentors will not be answering questions
  concerning individual assignments
• Keep questions to only about the project
• Mentors will not be responsible for grading

• If you are not sure about the mentors advice,
  please ask a TA
• Do not burden the mentor with too many emails
• Our mentors have graciously donated their time to
  help support CS577, so please do not abuse them
• If you have too many questions to ask the mentor,
  ask some to the CS577 teaching staff instead

  9/27
• WinWin Assignment is postponed until Wednesday
  9/29
• COCOMO Assignment is postponed until 9/27
• Server space has been assigned to each team
• Follow Team Archiving Guidelines when setting up
  your website (GL can be found on the Guidelines
  section of the course homepage)

• To submit effort data
• First get an ID from us using the CSE iCard
  system (Please remember this ID as it will be
  used for future other purposes.)
• Fill out effort data
• Instructions and links to iCard and ER systems on
  how to do this provided in the Tools section of
  the course homepage
• Submit effort data for week of 9/13 9/19 by
  this Friday September 24

  (project or IVV related)
• Instructions on how set up DART and links to DART
  are provided in the Tools section of the course
  homepage
• One person for each team should follow these
  instructions
• Tutorials and user manual for DART provided as
  well on the homepage
• Submit risk data for week of 9/13 9/19 by this
  Monday September 27

• This should include team effort data, results
  from DART, client meeting notes as well as the
  other required stuff
